Awnings? Calgary is cold today! It’s the end of February and we can’t wait for Spring to hit Calgary! Officially it begins at the end of March so technically, it’s less than a month away. Looking outside however, I see light snow falling and kids bundled up in snowsuits heading to school. Ugh! There is a saying that states, “If March comes in like a lion, it will leave like a lamb!” So let me check the forecast:
Calgary on March 1st will have a high of +6 and a low of -13. Is this an angry lamb or a wimpy lion? Other than pondering the weather, I am looking forward to the Calgary Home and Garden Show this weekend! It starts on Thursday, February 26th and runs until Sunday, March 1st. Can’t wait to check out all the displays. In particular I am excited about shopping for awnings. Calgary is chilly today, but despite the cold, we know that warm weather is on it’s way, and an awning would be awesome way to spruce up the yard. Solaris, a new Calgary awning company will be there and they are sporting a new booth displaying their line of quality awnings. Calgary has a new place to shop for awnings. Calgary’s Solaris will be showing various retractable awnings and 100s of samples of the dyed acrylic fabric selections available for these awnings. Calgary can have unpredictable weather so the various options on the awnings can be seen as well. From motions sensors (so awnings will retract in the wind), retractable valences (for when the sun sets low) to ground adjustable pitch (to help with sun direction and moisture flow). Wow, sounds technical but these features can add comfort to your your deck, right here in Calgary. Awning shopping doesn’t have to be a chore. Come inside the BMO Centre this weekend, in downtown Calgary. Awning shopping in the warmth!
